For a typical black SiC 98 grade, purchasing limits may include SiC content, free carbon, iron oxide and particle-size distribution. Refractory and abrasive users may need additional density or grain-shape controls, while metallurgical users focus on recoverable silicon and carbon plus sizing for dissolution.
